ABSTRACT:
This work presents the definitions of the function classes termed successive product and successive sum, which are similar to, yet more generic than, usual products and summations, and discusses several of their properties. These functions extend standard recursions and provide results for values commonly defined by convention, such as the factorial of zero and the power 0 of 0.
